U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs staffers

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs staffers David L. Cozart, Elizabeth Bennett and McKinley Hubbard with Audrey Mack, executive director of the Missouri Veterans History Project, and Elson Williams Jr., Community Affairs liaison at Major Brands

The Missouri Veterans History Project is looking to record, preserve and make accessible the personal accounts of Missouri War Veterans so future generations may hear directly from the veterans and better understand the realities of war. The interviews are conducted by trained staff, and a copy of the video will be given to the veteran. Copies also will be sent to the Missouri Historical Society and the Library of Congress to be archived and made available to scholars, veterans and the public.

Elson Williams, Community Affairs liaison at Major Brands, recently set up a meeting for Audrey Mack, executive director of the Missouri Veterans History Project, with 10 Vietnam combat veterans at the Vet Center, 2906 Olive St., Louis, to make a presentation on why they should be involved in the project. Several veterans signed up at the Vet Center.

Interested veterans should call 573-522-4220,  email info@myhp.net or visit http://www.myhv.net/.
