Tony Scott

Tony Scott of Majic 100.3 FM’s “Tony and Tammie Morning Show” was relieved of his duties this morning.

Scott was the longest running personality in at the Clear Channel owned station. He had been with Majic for more than 25 years.

Majic has undergone several changes over the years – from format style to moving up the dial (from Majic 108 to 104.9 and most recently to its current home at 100.3) – but Scott had been a mainstay as both a morning and an afternoon host.

While they have confirmed, Clear Channel hasn’t provided any details, but said that they would follow up with The American with more information regarding his departure.

An anonymous source said Tammie Holland will stay on in the mornings, but as of yet no word on if she will get a new co-host – and if so, who will be selected to fill Scott’s seat.

More information will be provided when it becomes available.

I am really upset that Tony Scott is gone. Majic is not the same. I don't like Tammi without Tony. I don't like them in the morning either. Why when something that isn't broke someone has to try to "fix" it? I love Tony Scott and will not be listening to Majic any longer. It is just not interesting anymore.

I had been missing Tony, but thought maybe he was on vacation. I finally had to break down and read up on Tony's whereabouts. I am a real-old schooler, i.e. not a twitter nor facebooker, who enjoys listening to radio mostly to and from work. I particularily respected and enjoyed Tony's and Tammie's seemingly honorable relationship; such public relationships do not seem to get enought recognition these days. Their differing/balance, and music choices(which by the way Clear Channel, can be found elsewhere) was refreshing. I cannot imagine Tony Scott doing anything to warrant the reported abrupt aciton. I hope there is reason to reverse that action and Clear Channel has what it takes to respond as such.

I am so glad the social media was there and quick to give support. But I am sure their are many, many, many supporters like me who are here, maybe not quick and/or capable, but cares. All the best to Tony.

This is a huge loss to not only St Louis radio but the community as well. Tony Scott is more than a mere radio personality in the city of St Louis. For the decades he spent on the air ushering families off to school and work or home after a long day. Music has changed, the mayors have changed but Tony's presence as a community voice has remained constant. Clear Channel has just successfully and simultaneously alienated thousands of its listeners. Tony Scott needs to be reinstated immediately.

Tony Scott has been the heart of Majic. I've grown up listening to Tony. From the breakfast crew to Tony Scott and Tammie Holland show. I have no desire to support Majic or any clear channel stations. A sad day in St. Louis radio. Without listeners there are no sponsors. Come on St. Louis, boycott all clear channel stations.

Now i have no reason to listen to them anymore. The station has gone to the dogs.
