Sisters of Hope to honor women in business on Sunday

For one day only, 30 successful area businesswomen will trade best business practices, showcase and sell products and services, and share pathways to success at the Bold, Confident Women and Girls (BCWG) Expo from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 23 at the MO History Museum in Forest Park.

The expo, presented by Sisters of Hope, Inc. (SOH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on the personal and social development of girls and women of all ages, observes the achievements of female entrepreneurs during National Women's Small Business Month. The event will feature exhibits, fashion, live entertainment, guest speakers, a hair show, art and more.

"Sisters of Hope, Inc. believes that an investment in our youth is an investment in our future," said SOH President and Co-Founder Rainie Howard. "The BCWG Expo celebrates the women-owned businesses that employ more than 13 million people, and generate $1.9 trillion in revenue. They are the model

of success for our members."

The BCWG Expo, like the organization's mission and programs, will target the personal, professional and social aspects of a girl and woman's life to ensure that attendees are exposed to the resources and tools necessary for a balanced, healthy and successful existence.

"Women business owners are successful because they have mastered how to balance their personal and professional endeavors," Howard said. "The Bold, Confident Women and Girls Expo will empower girls and women to prioritize their goals and reorganize their individual success plans, while having fun with family and friends."

The Bold, Confident Women and Girls Expo is a free, family friendly event. Attendance prizes will be available.

Vendors and presenters for the event include the Small Business Association, Grace Hill Women's Business Center, I Heart Arts,True Light Home Healthcare, National Children's Study and more.
