The Ferguson-Florissant School District announced Monday it has cancelled classes for the rest of the week.

According the district, the unrest in Ferguson is directly to blame for the second week of delays for the 2014-2015 school year.

The school year was slated to being August 14, but because of the unrest, the school year has yet to start.

As of 12:30 a.m., the nearby districts of Jennings and Riverview Gardens are planning to hold classes on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
