Michael P. McMillan and Xernona Clayton

Michael P. McMillan, president and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, was inducted into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame in Atlanta on Thursday, January 18. This award was created by Xernona Clayton, founder of the Trumpet Awards and formerly an executive member of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s staff.

“It is a permanent testimony to those who have dedicated themselves to the progress of our people and to this nation,” Clayton said of the award, and McMillan “is consistent with the values and accomplishments worthy of this honor.”
