Mason Washington, Missouri Baptist - Baseball
The junior outfielder from Modesto, CA is one of the leading hitters for the Spartans, who are currently 22-15.
Washington went three for five with five runs batted in and two runs scored in a victory over Harris-Stowe in the first game of a double header. In the second game, he had three more hits and a run scored. In a pair of games against Lindenwood-Belleville, Washington had four hits, three runs batted in and scored a run.
For the season, Washington is batting .401 with three home runs and 34 RBI and a slugging percentage of .547. He also has 11 doubles and 34 runs scored. Missouri Baptist is currently 14-7 in American Midwest Conference play.
Donalda Desir, Webster University - Women’s Track and Field
The senior sprinter from Naples, FL was one of the Gorloks top performers at last weekend’s Greenville Select meet in Illinois.
Desir finished second in the 400-meter dash, fifth in the 200 and ran a leg on the 4x100-meter relay team that finished sixth. In each of the three races, Desir posted seasonal best times, including her two individual races.
Desir is already the school’s record-holder in the 200. She is also part of the Gorloks’s 4x400-meter relay team that set a new school record at the John Creer Invitational at Lindenwood University
