The senior standout was the top individual in the field events at last week’s Henle Holmes Invitational at Parkway Central.
Riley swept both the long and triple jump events with impressive performances. Riley won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet 5 inches. She also won the triple jump with an effort of 39 feet 10 ¾ inches, which was also a new meet record.
Riley started competing in track and field last year as a junior. She was the Class 5 state champion in the triple jump a year ago, winning the event with an effort of 39-6 ½. She also earned an All-State medal in the long jump with an eighth place finish.
