Stifel Bank & Trust notes that mortgage rates are still near record low interest rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages, according to HSH.com, the nation’s largest publisher of mortgage and consumer loan information.
The rate for May 2013 was 3.78 percent, compared to 4.18 percent two years ago, 6.02 percent five years ago, 6.86 percent 15 years ago and 10.20 percent 25 years ago, though rates are up slightly from 3.34 percent in 2012.
