The Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, along with The Trio Foundation of St. Louis, has announced a scholarship program.
Three partial-tuition scholarships, worth about $3,000 each, are available for students currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management and Leadership at UMSL. Students not yet enrolled in the program also are eligible to apply.
May 2 is the scholarship application deadline for academic year 2006-07, and July 1 is the deadline to apply for enrollment in the certificate program. Scholarship winners will be announced May 17.
The Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management and Leadership is an 18-credit hour program that provides students with knowledge and competencies to manage, lead and govern nonprofit organizations. Students can pursue the certificate as a stand-alone program or pair it with a master’s degree program in public policy administration or social work.
Funding for the scholarships is provided by The Trio Foundation of St. Louis, a nonprofit organization that, according to its mission statement, “values community enhancement, fulfillment of human potential and ecological well-being.”
