The National Society of Black Engineers-Alumni Extension St. Louis Gateway Chapter is looking for promising high school students to award scholarships.

Eligible students must be resident of the St. Louis metro area and either a graduating high school senior, college freshman or college

sophomore seeking majors in science, engineering or math.

Submit a completed scholarship application along with the following:

? Transcript from previous semester

? Two letters of recommendation from school faculty

? Photo (will be used for PR and will not be returned)

? Essay.

For the essay, NSBE’S mission is to increase the number of black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Explain in a 1,000 words or less what NSBE’s mission means to you. “ (Must be typed, no more than 1,000 words, and doubled-spaced).

The award is a $1,000 minimum scholarship. Recipients must attend the Scholarship Banquet or forfeit award.
