MEHLVILLE FIRE PROTECTION

DISTRICT

Mehlville Fire Protection District is seeking a Deputy Chief

EMS to organize and direct the administrative functions of the emergency

medical services of the District. This candidate must hold a current EMT-P

license through the State of Missouri, must possess strong computer skills,

a high level of organizational competency, excellent interpersonal skills and

be a dedicated team player.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management

or Public Administration (or other related degree or field) or a minimum of

12 – 15 years fire/EMS management/supervisory experience is preferred or

an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which provides

the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for the job is required.

The employee in this position reports to the Assistant Chief of

the District, oversees performance and training of EMS personnel, reviews

and processes patient reports and supervises supply/equipment ordering and

maintenance among other duties. This employee will serve as the HIPAA

Compliance Officer, Medical Liaison and Infectious Disease Control

Officer.

This position offers a salary of $83,100 annually and is accompanied

by an excellent benefit package. A background investigation, substance

abuse testing and post offer physical examination is required.
