March might not come in like a lion, but Alderman Mike McMillan’s political roar is sweeping all parts of the city as he plans a campaign kickoff rally for License Collector at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 28 at The Kappa House, 500 N. Vandeventer.
McMillan’s campaign continues to raise money, and the EYE has learned that politicians from the north, south and central parts of the city are backing McMillan’s play for a citywide office.
Says one politician, “His 13 years of work at City Hall and paying dues have been paying off for him recently.”
Minority leader state Sen. Maida Coleman is obviously busy fighting off continuing Republican efforts to further inflict needless suffering on the poor, young and elderly, and she should be commended. She should also think twice before clouding the political landscape in St. Louis with a half-hearted bid for the Democratic nomination for the License Collector office.
