Lee Crutchfield and his girlfriend are facing multiple murder charges in connection with the death of a 6 year old boy. But his mother believes he is incapable of such a horrible act.
She told KSDK Newschannel 5 that she thinks her son is innocent.
“He said, Mama, I made a big mistake that I did not report this. And I talked to him. I know I have no doubt in my mind that he’d never harm this baby.”
“I’ve never known Lee to be a violent young man. Oh he’s just out of control, no one can control him, that’s not true, That is not true.”
His mother said, “I’ve heard about these restraining orders and the only one I can address is the one they say his brother filed against him.”
She said that stemmed from a misunderstanding in the home and was quickly resolved. She says, “It wasn’t like, oh he was so afraid of Lee. No he was not. He didn’t want him and Lee to fight.”
While she proclaims his innocence, Crutchfield’s mother did not allow her name to be used or her face shown during an interview on Thursday.
