“Lean on, trust in and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

There are over eight thousand promises in the word of God. These promises represent God’s will for His people. He lets us know that there cannot be any failure for those who live by His word. “For all of His promises are yes and amen (so be it).” This passage alone should give us the confidence to put all of our trust and confidence in the word of God.

The eyes of God’s people must rest on His word and not on the circumstances surrounding their lives. In times of great tribulation, we must keep our eyes and mind focused on the word and not on what is happening all around us. God knows exactly what is happening in the world today. God knew that the recession was going to take place in our country. Many of the signs were very vivid, but most of us were not looking through the eyes of God. The desire of God is that His people who are called by His name will trust Him and look not at what is happening that does not line up with the word of God. Instead, if we desire to receive the blessings of the Lord, we must walk by faith and not be sight.

Hear God speaking to your heart this day, “I am the Lord your God and I change not.” The Word of God is God. He is His word and the Word is Him. When you pray the word in faith, you are releasing the power of God that is able to accomplish whatever is needed. When the word is mixed with unwavering faith, all things become possible.

The people who know their God will be able to accomplish great victories. Through wisdom and understanding you must know that God does not change. “He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.” His word has not become weak or void of power. It will still accomplish all that He has promised. If you want to be victorious and come through this time of great challenge, God must be your source for direction, strength and resources.

Do you need a move of God’s power in your life? Is there a member of your family in need? If not your family, there are thousands of sisters and brothers that are in dire need of a blessing from God. Prayer is the key that will move God when it is mixed with faith. It is time for each of us to become our brother’s keeper.

The challenge given to you today is to pray and obey. Take your eyes off circumstances and place them on the promises of God. Speak only what you desire to see happen in your life. Refrain from talking about the problem, the need, negative circumstances or past hurts. Remember, you can have what you say. (Mark 11:23-24) Stand firm on the word of God and do not lean to you natural way of thinking.

God is faithful. He will supply all of your needs if you put the whole of your trust in Him. His grace, which is the favor of God, is still available to you. Be encouraged. Know without a doubt that if you WORK THE WORD OF GOD THROUGH YOUR LIFE, HIS WORD WILL WORK FOR YOU.
