DMX was arrested on Tuesday (March 9) in Arizona for violating the terms of his parole after being found in possession of cocaine
X, real name Earl Simmons, is being detained in a local county jail following his apprehension by the state’s Adult Probation department.
The troubled star in less than a year removed from a 90 plus day stint in an Arizona jail for fraud, drug, and animal cruelty charges. DMX’s lawyer Gary Jenkins acknowledged that the rapper is still suffering from well-documented drug addiction issues, but hoped he could stage a celebrity intervention.
“We’re hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him,” DMX’s lawyer Gary Jenkins told TMZ. He’s a talented man…we’re praying for him.”
Meanwhile his wife Tashera Simmons will be releasing her memoirs about being “Mrs. X.”
“She will be talking about her experience with her family and trying to hold them together through the DMX journey,” her rep said.
