Janet was educated in the St. Louis Public School system, a proud Sumner Alumni, as her sisters and mother. She was also a graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies and attended Brooks Bible College.
She was a faithful and loyal member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. Dedicated to Evangelism Class 101; the Black History Program Committee; Recording Secretary for Women’s Mission Union; Sunday School Teacher, Coordinator of Youth Sunday School Activities, including Vacation Bible School, Youth Revival, College Students Reception and remembering students on Special Days; Recording Secretary for Bridegroom Prayer Band; and Wednesday Night Bible Class.
As a District Youth Director, she initiated visits to Mary Ryder Nursing Home serving Thanksgiving Dinner were she engaged youth to interactions with the residents.
