Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, has announced a new video contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Rose Center for Earth and Space, which houses the planetarium.
The challenge: in two minutes or less, show how recent science breakthroughs have moved you or impacted your life. The deadline is Sunday, September 19 at 11:59 p.m.
One winning videomaker will win a weekend trip for two to New York City to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the center at the American Museum of Natural History on October 10
All submitted video titles must start with “Rose Center Anniversary Video Contest.” All videos must start with the Rose Center Anniversary slide available at the webpage for the contest, http://www.amnh.org/rc10/. Videos may be no longer than 2 minutes. You must be 18 years of age or older to submit a video. If you are under 18 please have a parent or guardian submit the video on your behalf.
Submissions must be uploaded via the contest page, http://www.amnh.org/rc10/, which also has a link for more complete rules.
