“Do not be conformed to this world (this age),{ fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs}, but be transformed (changed) by the entire renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude) so that you may prove {for yourselves} what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you.” Rom. 12:2
Every year millions of people set out with a goal to develop a set of resolutions that are designed to make a difference in their lives. More often than not, there is little to no follow through with the anticipated resolutions. These words were written with wishful thinking instead of being established on a firm foundation of the word of God.
The desire of our Heavenly Father is to see every one of His children live a victorious life. Moving from faith to faith becomes a reality when goals are set based on the promises of God. The opportunity to move through the year with a definite plan of action designed to bring glory and honor to God becomes possible when the word of God is link to everything that you do.
Why do so many people fail to follow through with the anticipated goals? The answer can be found in our scripture for this week. Most people are living with an unrenewed mind. They permit a lot of garbage and negativity to be filtered through their minds.
Make a decision to enter into the coming year with a new attitude and a different mind set.
The mind of man is powerful. It has the ability to become a transmitter of knowledge and information that could change the course of one’s life. As we allow our minds to become focused on a particular goal and follow up with corresponding action the expectation will produce a harvest.
What is the status of your mind? Is it filled with doubt, fear worry, anger, depression, or frustration? Are you constantly allowing the thoughts in your mind to produce negative outcomes? The beginning of a stronghold takes place when destructive thoughts are allowed to linger in your mind.
The year 2010 can yield as much success as you desire if you take the time to renew your mind. When the mind is filled with the word of God on a consistent basis the renewal process begins. The more you think and meditate on the promises of God the greater will be the results that you are expecting.
Do not allow fear and doubt to cheat you out of the blessings that are waiting for you. Stay focused on the word of God. Live by His promises. Call the things that you desire as if the manifestation has already come.
Expect the New Year to release blessings beyond what you thought possible. For every need or desire that you have; fill your heart and mind with the word of God that guarantees your expectation. Expect great things to manifests as you allow your mind to be transformed by the word of God.
