June 14, 1956 – May 11, 2010

George Ross was born on June 14, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Henry and Juanita Ross. He was the youngest of eight children. Both parents, one sister (Willie Ann Canada) and one brother (Charles Canada) preceded him in death.

George accepted Christ at an early age. He attended St. Louis Public Schools. He worked for the City of St. Louis and the St. Louis Housing Authority until he became disabled.

George united in holy matrimony on November 17, 1994 to Cynthia Braxton. To this union three children were born, George Jr., Geornita and Shanita.

George enjoyed watching sports and listening to music, but his real joy was his family. He was always thinking of family. His children meant the world to him. He was a loving husband, father and brother. George had a sincere heart to help others as well, if he could. To have known George is to have loved George.

George Ross was called from this life on May 11, 2010 to be with his Father in Heaven. He leaves to mourn a wife, Cynthia (Gail) Ross; four children, Chaquita Parham, George Jr., Geornita and Shanita; one stepson, Lafayette Braxton (Angel); three grandchildren, Khamrin Graham, Jordon and Jonathan Braxton; four brothers, William H. Ross (Priscilla), Jarone Harden (Marian), Haldore Ross (Ruth), John H.
