Dilworth was an outstanding two-sport athlete for the Statesmen throughout his career. As a sophomore, Dilworth helped lead the Statesmen to the Class 5 state championship in basketball. He scored 14 points in Webster Groves state championship victory over McCluer North in ’08.
As a senior, Dilworth was the starting quarterback for Webster Groves’ Class 5 state-championship football team. He completed 117 of 201 passes for 1,847 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2009. His memorable 80-yard pass to Demetrius Robinson on the last play of the state quaterfinals against Chaminade to give the Statesmen a dramatic victory is a play for the ages.
On the basketball court, Dilworth was the Suburban South Conference Player of the Year after leading the Statesmen to a 27-3 record and a berth in the Class 5 state quarterfinals. Dilworth averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 steals as a senior.
Dilworth will attend Moberly Area Junior College in the fall to continue his basketball career.
