Sistahs Talkin’ Back, the women’s unit of the Organization for Black Struggle, will host its 28th annual Affirmations Women’s Program from 4-7 pm. Sunday, March 17 at the Center for Divine Love, 3617 Wyoming.
Workshop presenters are Jamala Rogers, Nikia Paulette and Dalychia Saah all attended Some of Us Are Brave, the national 2018 Black Feminist Organizing School
“Like the organizing school, the goal of this year’s Affirmations is to sharpen the understanding of the systems that oppress women,” Rogers said.
Affirmations programs create a safe space for learning, sharing and networking for women. The free event will also include raffle drawings and on-site child care.
