We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Gwendolyn R. (Wright) Lovings; she was born November 28, 1956, in St. Louis, MO., to Mrs. Mary E. Wright and Superintendent Elder James L Wright, both preceded her in death. Gwen was the third of five children and the only girl/daughter.
Gwen confessed to Christ at an early age; she was baptized in Christ at Bostic Temple COGIC. And she fellowshipped until Superintendent Elder James L Wright started his church at Walnut Park COGIC. Sister Gwen Lovings was very active in her church Stepping Into the Light Ministries, spreading the good news about the Lord. She loved working for Jesus.
Gwen attended St. Louis public schools, went to Soldan for two years, and graduated from Berkeley Sr. High in 1976. Gwen had a long career at the Federal Center and retired from the Division of Family Services. She worked for over 35yrs. Gwen united in holy matrimony to Deacon Larry Lovings on March 23, 2002. She loved, honored, and respected him until she earned her wings on April 10, 2021.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her devoted husband Larry Lovings, her loving brothers Pastor. Kenneth Wright(Angela), Fredrick Wright(Shannon), Bruce McElroy, dea. Brian McElroy, Pastor. Charles McElroy(Barb), (Brothers James and Pastor. Anthony Wright preceded her in death). Her exceptional Aunt Marsha, three nieces Traceé Wright, Tiffany Burks-Wright, Brandi Wright, whom she helped raise like her own. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Stepping Into the Light Ministry family.
