The senior infielder is enjoying an excellent season in leading the Stars to an 8-4 record this spring.
In a 20-0 victory over Riverview Gardens, Swims was two-for-two at the plate with two doubles, three runs scored, four runs batted in and two stolen bases. He followed up with three hits, one RBI and four stolen bases in a victory over McCluer. In a third victory last week, Swims had two more hits, including a double with three runs and a stolen base in another victory over Riverview Gardens.
For the season, Swims is batting .545 with one home run and 17 RBI, 15 runs scored and 16 stolen bases. He will attend Missouri Southern University on a baseball scholarship next season.
