Jeffrey Keith Hayes was born on January 26, 1957 with his twin sister Jennifer A. Hayes to the union of Ernest and Esterline Hayes in St. Louis, Missouri. His sister Angela L. Hayes preceded him in transition.
Jeffrey was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools, attending Farragut and Lexington Elementary and graduated in 1976 from Beaumont High School. Jeffrey started at National Supermarket at age 16, his exceptional work ethics and notable attention to customer service quickly advanced his career into management, after 20 years of service, he later retired as Customer Service Manager to act on his entrepreneurial skills and started his own business in 1992 “Keith’s Professional Cleaning Service” and later became “Keith’s Awning Company and Power Washing”.
Jeffrey was baptized at Trinity Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. As his Christian experience grew, Jeffrey was passionate about sharing God’s word, serving God and serving in his church. He joined The Spirit Church in 2011 and was on the Men’s Locker Roomer Leadership Team, active with the Singles Ministry, a Leader in The Spirit Boppers of Life and he was Director of Hospitality at the Spirit Church. He was excited about serving at the Spirit Church and everything associated with serving in the Spirit Church. Jeffrey loved life!
Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Taler H. Hayes and son Kelvin M. Simmons II (Ashley), mother, Esterline Hayes Dean, Father, Ernest Hayes, Sisters: Vernada Thomas(John), Ernestine McCarthy, Darline Cheers(Mitchellville, MD.), Claudia Boyd, Gilda Latham (Alvin), Jennifer Hayes, Alicia Hayes, Angela Hayes, Brothers: David Hayes, Curtis Hayes (Accra, Ghana), Michael Hayes (Megan) and Samuel Dean(Sandra) a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many life-long friends.
