The 6’0” junior forward led the Warriors to the championship of the Queen of Hearts Tournament at Villa Duchesne last weekend.
Blackwell had 29 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in the Warriors’ 59-51 victory over Metro in the championship game. She also had 20 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in Whitfield’s 59-40 victory over Cape Notre Dame in the semifinals.
Blackwell is currently averaging 23.4 points a game, which leads the St. Louis metropolitan area. She is also averaging 7.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 61 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range. As a sophomore, Blackwell led the Warriors to a runner-up finish in the Missouri Class 3 state tournament.
