Esther Alice (Jackson) Allen was born in Pacific, Missouri on August 9, 1928 to the late Robert William Jackson and the late Melzie Jane (Casey) Jackson. She had four brothers: Robert Jr., Elmer, Matthew, and Kenneth and two sisters: Ethel and Naomi who all preceded her in death.
Esther spent her childhood in North-Webster Groves where she attended the segregated Douglas School of Webster Groves, Missouri and she was a graduate of Washington Technical School of St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1948, Esther married the late Clifford S. Massey and in that marriage five children were born: Hazel, Jerome, Regina, Melzie and Sherman. Esther later married the late Patton Allen, Sr. who had two children: Jacqueline and Patton Jr.
Esther leaves to cherish her memories: Children: Jacqueline Reynolds, Hazel Irving (Ralph), Jerome Massey (Rose), Regina Massey, Melzie Goodman (James) Sherman Massey (Janine); grandchildren: Tanjela (George), Gus
