According to ESPN.com and several other news sources, Mike Anderson has been named head basketball coach at the University of Arkansas. Anderson departs the University of Missouri after five years, posting a record of 111-57. He will reportedly earn $2.2 million to return to his coaching roots at Arkansas, where he spent 17 years as an assistant coach under Nolan Richardson.

Anderson departs Mizzou after three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2009.  The Tigers lost to the University of Cincinnati in the first-round of the 2011 tournament.
