The East St. Louis community lost a giant civic and spiritual leader with the passing of the Rev. John H. Rouse on March 12, 2011, after suffering a heart attack. Rouse, 70, was the long-time pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, at 2235 Bond Ave., East St. Louis, IL. Ministers Cecil Johnson and Willie Seals stand guard as mourners file by as the Min. Rouse lies in state at the church. -
