Update (7/11): Law enforcement officials have arrested the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Richard Franco, after he was spotted entering Berry’s property again around 11pm Monday night.
According to TMZ.com, police and private security witnessed Franco scaling the wall and quicky detained. Franco was arrested and booked on suspicion of felony stalking.
Actress Halle Berry was forced to call law enforcement authorities over the weekend as an intruder was spotted on her property on two different occassions.
The intruder was first spotted Saturday afternoon after he scaled the walls at Berry’s home. According to TMZ.com, several people inside the house spotted the man and ran outside to confront him. However, the suspect fled back over the fence and got away.
Sunday afternoon, Berry spotted the man again, this time peeking inside her kitchen window. The actress rushed to the phone and called authorities once again. The LAPD was unable to find the suspect, despite dispatching helicopters, squad cars and officers on foot.
Police officials told TMZ, the suspect is likely an overzealous fan or paparazzo.
