According to KMOV-TV, Ivor David Baulding, the founder of Circus Flora, passed away at his home on Friday night.
Baulding, 75, founded Circus Flora in St. Louis in 1987. Circus Flora is a nonprofit performing arts organization which specializes in one-ring circus production and showcases both humans and animals.
A spokesperson for Circus Flora told the news station that Baulding had been in poor health recently but continued working up until his death.
Circus Flora takes place in the arts district at Grand Center every summer. In addition to their one-ring production, they have a year-round “Clowns on Call” program that visits local children’s hospitals.
