Dr. Rance Thomas was recently awarded the Hazelwood School District
Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Thomas was a longstanding Professor of
Sociology and Criminal Justice and Coordinator of the Sociology Program at
Lewis & Clark Community College before his retirement in 2002. Dr. Thomas
is also the co-founder and President of the North County Churches Uniting
for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU). From left to right: HSD Board of
