The O’Neal Twins, the renowned gospel duo that grew up singing in St. Louis storefront churches, were recently inducted into the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Detroit.

The brothers brought musical joy not only to their own home city but all over the U.S. and abroad for more than 40 years and with more than 20 albums.

The St. Louis religious community, along with the O’Neal twins’ home church, Kossuth Church, will come together in a mass musical extravaganza to commemorate this honor that has been bestowed upon the twins.

The event, to be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Kossuth Church (3801 Clarence at Newstead), will also pay tribute to the surviving brother, Edgar O’Neal, who is still carying on their legacy after the death of his twin, Edward.

This concert will feature many of St. Louis’ outstanding choirs and soloists, including the famed Interfaith Choir which the O’Neal Twins founded some 30 years ago. The program will also feature Same Seeds, the Nashville gospel twin duo, in their first St. Louis performance.

The event, to be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at Kossuth Church (3801 Clarence at Newstead).
