Harris-Stowe State College has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic/HVAC Tech II. Responsibilities: Maintenance/repairs to HVAC systems and auxiliary plant equipment including building and facility maintenance, piping repairs, painting, and work as assigned. Must have current HVAC/Freon certification, able to demonstrate proficiency and have knowledge of general maintenance work practices and methods. Three years of experience in HVAC maintenance is required. Trade school plus experience will be considered.
Additional qualifications: Good communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, a team player, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 70 lbs., work outdoors in inclement weather, use protective clothing and work irregular hours. Must have or be eligible to receive a CDL license.
