St. Louis for Kids, the local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of non-school hour programs, will host a kick-off event to unveil Happenings 4 Youth, a new initiative aimed at connecting area youth to safe and positive activities in the community. The event is free, open to the public and will feature St. Louis native comedian Arvin Mitchell as emcee. In addition, dozens of local organizations will conduct interactive demonstrations and distribute information at this event, which will include refreshments, giveaways, music and performances by area youth.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 20 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Louis Science Center.
