Back in the good old days in Cincinnati, we had a pretty good concert yearly at the old Riverfront Stadium.
Stevie Wonder played one year in the mid ‘80s to about 30 or 40 thousand folks. Of couse, the show was killer, but what I remember most is that Stevie was the headliner and came on stage about 11:30 p.m.
What you must know about Cincinnati is at black concerts they turn the lights on when they want you to leave. The band sees this and they know to stop. They did this to Stevie about 1:15 a.m. I broke out in laughter and screamed, “HE’S BLIND! HE CAN’T SEE THAT!!”
Stevie proceeded to play for what seemed like another hour before his people came and dragged him off stage.
