Gene Dobbs Bradford, Executive Director of Jazz at the Bistro, will be performing with the Gene Dobbs Bradford Blues Band at the Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington, as part of the “Notes from Homes Series” on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and available through Metrotix at 534-1111 or www.metrotix.com. For several years, Bradford has been a fixture on the local blues scene as a mean blues harmonica player. Although his duties at Jazz at the Bistro often keep him backstage, Bradford has performed with the likes of Russell Malone, Ann Hampton Callaway, Rene Marie, LaVerne Butler, Toots Thielemans and more. The show will feature Gene’s personal retrospective of the artists and songs that influenced his deep passion for the blues. Joining Gene will be Boston’s Ian Kennedy on guitar, Adaron Jackson on keyboards, John Aversa of Baltimore, MD on bass and DeMarius Hicks on drums. Don’t miss your chance to hear Bradford’s house rocking sounds in the vibrant acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall.
