NBA ECHO Emergency Children’s Home in St. Louis recently recognized the contributions to mentoring of youth by 13 St. Louis citizens at the inaugural “Men Making a Difference” event, held at the Radisson Hotel in Clayton.
The luncheon event was attended by 190 persons, including 22 youth who are residents of NBA ECHO. This residential facility is located at 3033 North Euclid Avenue and has the largest emergency-care capacity of any residential youth care facility in St. Louis.

Edwards, retired realty specialist; William G. Gillespie, pastor, Cote Brilliante Presbyterian Church; James Oliver Harris, entrepreneur; the Rev. Samuel W. Hylton Jr., pastor emeritus, Centennial Christian Church; Ivan James, entrepreneur; Arthur Perry, pharmacist; Harold (Robbie) Robinson, sales; Richard D. Savage, development director, National Benevolent Association.
NBA ECHO Children’s Emergency Home is an agency of the National Benevolent Association of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). NBA currently provides residential care for children and persons with developmental disabilities in five locations in three states. A second NBA facility in St. Louis, the NBA Olive Branch, serves homeless teen mothers.
