The Fathers’ Support Center and St. Louis Healthy Marriage Coalition (SLHMC) are working together to improve outcomes for single parent families and the children in them. The two organizations recently received one of 6 nationwide federal grants to help teach responsible parenting and healthy marriage skills. The federal grant from the Office of Child Support Enforcement Demonstration and Special Projects – Special Improvement Projects allows this partnership to provide educational classes that teach responsible parenting and healthy marriage skills to fragile families in a safe environment. Additionally, the grant provides for family wellness training for social service providers working with families in child support assistance. The $300,000 grant will be awarded over a three-year period.

The Missouri Department of Social Services’ Family Support Division is also a partner in the project.
