Dr. Richard Alphonso Hudlin
April 24, 1934 – May 24, 2024
Dr. Richard Alphonso Hudlin transitioned from this world on May 24, 2024. Dr. Hudlin is preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Edward Hudlin of Illinois, and siblings: Dr. Lucille Antoinette Hudlin; Warrington Hudlin; Russell Hudlin; Dr. Irving Hudlin; and Dr. Edward Hudlin of Illinois. He is survived by his son Richard Alphonso Hudlin Jr. of Nebraska and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on June 28, 2024.
When I would walk to Simmons school I would see Mr Hudlin teaching Arther Ash tennis across from Sumner. I was in grade school. I did not realize the greatness I was seeing. This was in the early fifties I am a Sumnerite C\0 55 Mr Hudlin was a wonderful person and teacher.
