Marion Bosley Evans Walters departed this life peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 99. She was the oldest of eight children born to Preston T. and Alma J. Bosley. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System graduating from Sumner High School in 1942. She earned her B.A. degree from Stowe Teachers College. She was an educator with St. Louis Public Schools for 58 years earning numerous awards and recognitions for educators. In 1970, Marion became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. serving tirelessly on many committees. Of note was her work as Chairperson of the Fashionetta Scholarship Cotillion from 1985 to 1994 for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Gamma Omega Chapter. Marion was the widow of Floyd Walters. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Evans; granddaughter, Melanie Elysia Baker Analo (Karl); two great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Services will be Monday, February 3, 2025, at New Horizons United Methodist Church (formerly Samaritan); 4234 Washington Blvd; St Louis, MO 63108. Visitation begins at 9am. Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Ivy Beyond The Wall Ceremony at 10:00am and Celebration of Life at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
