For homeowners and residents affected by the May 16, 2025 tornado, a free workshop, “What to Do, What to Know and What Comes Next,” is taking place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29 at Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce, 929 N. Spring Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63108
The discussion will include how to navigate insurance and FEMA assistance.
Speakers will include Charleen Hoskins, president and CEO of TPAS, LLC; Johnathon Henderson, president and CEO of Endgame Roofing and Restoration; and Denale Powell, president of Powell Houston Life and Investments.
The National African American Insurance Association is sponsoring the workshop.
The tornado, which killed five people and caused more than $1.6 billion in damage, destroyed or damaged more than 5,000 homes, businesses, and churches.
FEMA opening new response location
FEMA will have four tornado response locations open as of June 30.
