St. Louis residents heading out for Thanksgiving Eve — one of the busiest bar nights of the year — can get a free ride home this week through a statewide safety effort backed by Breakthru Beverage Missouri and Deep Eddy Vodka.

The distributors are covering the cost of 500 Lyft rides starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, through 2 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27. Each trip is worth up to $30 and can be redeemed with the code BBGMOTHANKS2025, according to the companies.

The offer is part of the “Safe Home After Every Occasion” initiative, which aims to encourage people to plan a sober ride before going out. The program has provided more than 100,000 free rides in Missouri, the companies said.

“Breakthru Missouri is pleased to once again sponsor ‘Safe Home After Every Occasion’ with the generous support of our supplier partner Deep Eddy Vodka,” Scott Johnson, executive vice president of Breakthru Beverage Missouri, said in a statement.

The free rides will also be available in Kansas City, Columbia and Springfield.
