Jeremiyah Love displayed why the Arizona Cardinals used the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to select him. He had 11 carries for 58 yards and three catches for 14 yards during his first preseason action last Thursday against the Las Vegas Raiders but reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain. Love, who starred at CBC and Notre Dame, will hopefully return for the Cardinals season-opening game against the L.A. Chargers on Sept. 13…Luther Burden III has returned to the field but is still not practicing after suffering a groin injury last week. The Chicago Bears wide receiver was reportedly performing at a high level before the injury, which will sideline him for the remainder of training camp practices and preseason games…Is anyone else as tired of the Shedeur Sanders drama as me? Deshaun Watson started at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in the team’s 34-10 exhibition loss to the Bears. Sanders played the second half. Both were so-so. Yet there is clamoring for Sanders to be named the No. 1 QB…While the NBA has been ultra-focused on the “LeBron James goes to Philadelphia” phenomena, St. Louis’ own Bradley Beal quietly signed a two-year, $13.2 million deal to return to the LA Clippers. Beal played in just six games before a hip injury ended his 2025-26 season. He averaged a paltry 8.2 points and 1.7 assists in 20.2 minutes per game…Paul George, who the Boston Celtics acquired in the trade with Philadelphia for Jaylen Brown, said this weekend, “I’m gonna give [Celtics fans] everything. It’s surreal. I’m ecstatic. I’m looking forward to the journey. I’m looking forward to wearing that green and representing for Boston.” Unfortunately, most Celtics fans and media members feel the trade is a disaster, and George is finished as an impact player.
