A St. Louis postal worker has been accused of dumping more than 30,000 pieces of mail in vacant lots over at least a two-year period.
A federal grand jury indicted Armond Paige, 54, on Sept. 2 on one count of delay or destruction of mail by a postal employee, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. Prosecutors allege Paige dumped more than 30,000 pieces of mail between 2024 and April 29, 2026, while working at the Maryville Gardens Post Office on Meramec Street in south St. Louis.
Paige appeared in U.S. District Court in St. Louis on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty.
If convicted, Paige faces up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
