Sandra Diane Russell House

Sandra Diane Russell House was born to the late William David Russell and Marzuree Gonder Russell on August 21, 1951 in Saint Louis, MO. She departed this life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Christian Care Home in Ferguson, MO at the age of 63. Her two brothers Charles and Phillip and sister Mae preceded her in death.

On June 12, 1973 Sandra was married to Ural House, Jr. Two daughters, Angela Marie and Wendy Danielle were born to this union.  She was employed by the Saint Louis Public Schools until her health began to fail.

Sandra (Sandy as she was known by family and friends) attended Beaumont High School and was a lifelong member of Washington Metropolitan AME Zion Church. She grew up spending summers and vacations with her sisters and brothers in Monticello, Arkansas. Sandy was fun-loving, a mother to all, and a strong and compassionate individual.

Her dedication to family was shown in the care she gave her mother. Sandy took care of her mother throughout her extensive illness. She was by her side until the end.

Fishing, camping and boating were her favorite past times. She was a great cook and fabulous homemaker. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was a precious delight to ‘Gran’.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Ural House; two sisters, Billie Brent, and Sue Russell; daughters Angela House and Wendy House Settles, (Antonio); grandchildren Lauren Lige, Logan Jackson, and Demond Lee, Jr.; sister-in-laws Annie Russell and Marsha Cann (Clement) and numerous loving relatives and friends.
