Enterprise Holdings Foundation – the philanthropic arm of the company that operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands – has donated $1 million in aid Hurricane Sandy disaster relief efforts in New Jersey and New York.
Red Cross is using the donation to send 35 volunteers from the St. Louis region spread out among more than 3,300 disaster workers in shelters and mobile kitchens and distributing relief supplies.
The American Red Cross Greater St. Louis Region is a member agency of the United Way, which makes significant investments every year in Red Cross services.
