On Monday at a news conference in New York, Snoop Dog said he was “born again” during a visit to Jamaica earlier this year and now he’s going to make music the whole family can listen to. He’s calling himself “Bob Marley reincarnated.”
“I feel like I’ve always been Rastafarian,” Snoop said of the spiritual Jamaican movement, adding that his new name that was bestowed upon him is Snoop Lion.
His visit to the small island was definitely monumental in his life. He admitted he and his lovely wife grew closer together and received the revelation to change for the sake of growth and progress.
“Reggae was calling … it’s a breath of fresh air,” he said. “Rap isn’t challenging; it’s not appealing.”
