Ike Turner Jr, the son of Ike Turner and Tina Turner died of kidney failure on October 4. He passed away one day after his 67th birthday.
Tina’s niece, Jacqueline Bullock, confirmed the news in a statement.
“While he faced the same challenges that many of us have, he would become a sought after sound engineer, musician, and Grammy winner for Best Traditional Blues Album in 2007 for his father’s ‘Risin’ With The Blues,’” the statement read, according to Page Six.
He had been battling serious heart issues for years and his health had been declining.Tina adopted Ike Jr. and son Michael Turner, the biological children of Ike Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, early in their childhood.
