Kinloch’s own Jenifer Lewis is headed back to Hillman in the reboot of the Black‑culture‑defining sitcom “A Different World.”

According to Deadline.com, production is underway in Atlanta with a slate of familiar faces returning for the sequel series. Alongside Lewis, fans can expect Kadeem Hardison back as Dwayne Wayne, Jasmine Guy as Whitley Gilbert‑Wayne, Darryl M. Bell as Ron Johnson, Cree Summer as Freddie Brooks, and Charnele Brown reprising her role as Kimberly Reese.

Lewis will once again step into the shoes of Dorothy Dandridge Davenport. She served as a dean in the original run, but this time around she’ll be returning to campus life as a professor.
