On Friday, Peacock announced its summer slate of unscripted programming. Among them is a docuseries chronicling the life of St. Louis star Nelly and his lovely bride – and Grammy award -winning R&B songstress – Ashanti. “Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together” is one of five shows to get the greenlight by the NBCUniversal streaming service and will begin airing in June.

The eight-episode series will follow them as they adjust to newlywed life, parenthood, and busy music careers.

“The show follows the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers,” Peacock said in a statement announcing the show’s upcoming release. “Can this unstoppable duo prove that their love truly can conquer all? A fun-filled exploration of love’s second chances.”

  1. Why do celebrities run to TV to stay relevant?. They don’t need to let fans/ people in on their daily lives. It’s to fresh considering it’s the 2nd time around. So people may be waiting to see if Nelly is really into this New 2nd beginning. Couples usually don’t make it, being on reality tv

    1. If they are still booking shows, doing sold out arenas not only in the US but also out of the country, then they are STILL relevant. They dnt need TV. Nelly clearly said last year when interviewed to not expect yr ‘typical’ reality TV show.Drama and all of that doesn’t apply to them. If you read the article posted by peacock ,you’d know why they decided to do this.Besides its 30minutes of a 24hr day. No one knows what they do in the rest of 23hrs of the day they spend together. If you are watching and form a narrative based off a 30 minutes show, then the problem isn’t really them is it? Its you and other personal things you may be going through. They hve decided to share a bit of their story/journey with their fans on screen and we the fans are excited about it.

  2. I think we should uplift each other everyday. I’m thankful for Nelly and Ashanti marriage . Hey get the bowling alley together. I’m a license vhef I would love to cook in your bowling alley

  3. I must say, with all they’ve endured, they truly “BELONG TOGETHER.” The pair happens to be a match made from Heaven. Besides “GOD” someone’s rooting them on. I just happened to be “CLAIMING” it. Oh yes, I’m claiming their beautiful marriage togethr and they’re going to be just fine. Now, I’m “NO” Church guru or anything, however, I’m a “VERY SPIRITUAL, GOD FEARING WOMAN.” Nelly, from what I’ve read, is one loving and caring individual that’s healing from tragedies of his own life. However, I MUST give it to him, dealing with LUFE on life’s terms isn’t always a walk in the park. Stil, I feel he’s doing an gr8 job. I’m sure the “GOOD LORD” didn’t bring either one of them together again, along with the issues, etc. Just to say psych.!!!! I’m sorry, I just don’t see it. So, I wish them the best of luck. I really do.
God Bless You Two, “Nelly & Ashanti”
    Together…….”Forever, and Ever!!!”
